The event will highlight innovative applications, discuss emerging trends, and address the challenges and opportunities in digital health.

Introduction

Healthcare has been one of the solid products or services in the global market. The healthcare market is estimated at US $65.2 billion in 2023. It is projected to reach US $253.6 billion by 2033. There is a demand for the best patient care outcome despite challenges or constraints at various levels. In India, the health system is unique and allows multiple stakeholders to participate in healthcare delivery, which includes the private sector, public sector, and other organisations. They are trying to meet the needs of different population segments nationally and globally. India has been considered one of the preferred destinations for healthcare services. India’s global healthcare leadership demands a greater level of learning to ensure all the requirements, including the SDGs. One of the simplest ways to achieve the healthcare goals of Indian healthcare organisations is digital transformation, which has emerged as a catalyst for innovation, efficiency, and improved patient outcomes. In the past, a national conference was organised along the same lines to address these issues. The present conference aims to discuss digital transformation and its influence on the future of the Indian Healthcare Industry.

Need for the Conference

Most patients know that quality of care is essential and seek value for the money. Healthcare organisations must see a financial support mechanism, particularly in the reduction of out-of-pocket expenses. Therefore, healthcare organisations must meet the needs of modern patients by creating a platform for enhanced patient experience, cost-effective ability to assess and take a proactive approach to risk and improve population health, innovation and collaboration, and adaptation to the changing demands of various stakeholders. Hospitals are expected to transform digitally to achieve the said goals by applying multiple tools such as remote patient monitoring, personalised treatment plans, and real-time access to medical records, empowering healthcare providers to deliver proactive and patient-centric care. They must improve efficiency through process, resource allocation, and optimisation through data-driven strategies. It is also essential to offer telemedicine and remote consultations through virtual consultations, diagnosis, and remote monitoring in remote or underserved areas. Patients must be empowered by allowing them to operate over digital health apps, wearable devices, and patient portals such as monitoring vital signs, tracking medication adherence, and accessing health information anytime, anywhere.
